This year at NRF, we kicked it off at Capgemini offices with ContentSquare, SmartGift, Findmine, and Trendalytics where they showcased their solutions for Capgemini customers. We stopped by NORA Networks event at The Standard where we saw some of our good friends from Australia!  Look forward to seeing this group at Online Retailer in Sydney this July.

At NRF, we interviewed our Women2Watch for business challenges and road blocks for retailers this year.  It is clear that much of last year's innovation has become table stakes today. With artificial intelligence and machine learning coupled with video advancements, we see many exciting ways retailers will be creating amazing flagship experiences while thinking about what affordable technology and personalization can be pulled into the rest of the chain stores.

Events & Insights

We also stopped by the World Retail Congress breakfast where chairman Ian McGarrigle highlighted the exciting plans for their event in Amsterdam this May where 5-6 Women2Watch with be speaking. Look to hear more on this!

One of the biggest takeaways we gleaned is we are going to need to collaborate in order to solve the challenges that retail leaders will face in the future. There is no time to go it alone, and there is power in bringing people together to share and compare.  We hear our community and have decided to host a Collective Think lunch at Shoptalk in response to the need.
Our Women2Watch give career advice for women interested in following the same path.

We had a fabulous time interviewing some of our Women2Watch Honorees for 2019! We asked these ladies to talk about the challenges and road blocks heading into 2019. Listen to Rima Reddy from XRC Labs, Stacey Widlitz from SW Retail Advisors, Stephanie Urban from Tarte Cosmetics, and Lisa Morales Hellebo from REFASHiOND Ventures.
We met the founders for R.Riveter, and just had to cover their amazing community of military wives. In 2016, these gals won Shark Tank funding from Mark Cuban; their business was off and running. Listen to their awesome story.
