In its third year, Remodista honors 80 Women2Watch with an Award Show in Sydney and NYC. With a focus on women who have solved particularly taxing challenges across quickly changing verticals, the awards show underscores the accomplishments and highlights of our most innovative women. We kicked off the Sydney show with a sustainability cocktail reception, and then a sit-down dinner celebration.

With a focus on women who have solved particularly taxing challenges across quickly changing verticals, the awards show underscores the accomplishments and highlights of our most innovative women. We kicked off the NYC show with an introduction from our emcee Jerry Talamantes with our CEO, Kelly Stickel, and celebrated with an engaging award show sit-down dinner.

The Innovation Lab was an exclusive opportunity for our community to dig deeper into innovative retail-industry products and services.
Not a trade show, a guided experience The 2018 Remodista Innovation Lab took our guests on a high-touchpoint journey through a community of forward-thinkers who have broken new ground with wearables, accessories, technology and solutions. This year’s event was focused on vendors and retailers who are dedicated to crafting a seamless in-store experience, as well as to the backend technology that measures, tracks, and helps improve the customer experience. We had our first Collective Think, a tool to measure innovation in a room, group or community. With a gig economy, you do not know the entire potential (skill set) of your employee pool. You could make better investment decisions, if you knew what that looked like. Here are some of the highlights from our artificial intelligence data pull with our Women2Watch community. **Notice the word artificial intelligence isn't in the word cloud, but more a focus on the human condition. Here is a tiny sliver of what we learned: Humanity and people are the core of AI still. Human guard rails and ethical guidance are critical. That means that in order to use AI well, retail and commerce needs to find balance. Creation of good AI infrastructure is still costly and complex. With big pressure to include it, the resources haven’t quite caught up with demand. AI offers humans the gift of time through automation. The idea of the smart house vs. dumb house can offer more space for family and work in a time when ultra-convenience is at the forefront of consumer habits.
We are heading into Remodista’s Global Community Day celebrating with the 3rd Annual Women2Watch Award Show, that is focused on Women leaders who are solving the future of business. In 2018 our W2W had over 65 keynotes and presentations in Melbourne, Copenhagen, San Francisco, Austin, Sao Paulo, Las Vegas, New York, Mexico City, and NYC talking to the future of retail and finance. This year, we have our Community Day happening in New York City and Sydney, Australia, and see a growth path that opens up UK and Germany in 2019.
