Bricks + Mobile Comes Back to the Stage and Classroom

Looking back on the first half of the year, there are many signs that suggest we are heading somewhere unstoppable with the retailer’s opportunity to engage the consumer in the store or on the go. Our first Bricks + Mobile event this past March, was the perfect time and place to bring conversation and collaboration to the retail and mobile leaders.
In 12 short weeks, the team launched www.remodista.com, published 17 articles and 1 white paper, built out 6 presentations, 2 event videos, 1 social mobile portal, presented 25 speakers, executed 1 C-Level pre meeting session for 25 retail and mobile leaders, signed on 8 sponsors, 3 supporting organizations, 5 service providers, and met with 167 retail and mobile leaders for a day of mobile commerce education! To think we have only just begun!
We are excited to announce that on October 5th, at the Spertus Institute, on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, we are having another day of retail and mobile commerce education. We will talk about actions and think about how others are executing holiday programs with mobility in mind. If you didn’t get the opportunity to experience our last event, you are just in time for another exciting ride!
The 12 weeks leading up to the event, we will engage with speakers, presenters, and thought leaders in The Distillery. Here, is where a team of mobile commerce-focused writers contribute to the dialogue of this rapidly expanding arena. They may be experts in mobile, commerce, or retail… or they may just be dropping by to share a new perspective to help us all gain better insights into our mobile commerce strategies.
Before, during, and even after the event, we will discuss Mobile Marketing (QR codes, 2D Barcodes, SMS, LBS, Digital Billboards) In Store and Out, Loyalty Programs, NFC (Near Field Communication), Privacy and Security, Mobile Wallets, Social Mobile Commerce, and Payment Platforms. We are always open to consider what hasn’t yet been considered, so the list will evolve as mobile sophistication continues to transform and change.
In addition, we are excited to add a track where we will focus on the relationship with the CPG brands, retailer and mobility. We are distilling the content that our experts are rapidly sharing. These conversations offer an opportunity to build solid foundational relationships within the mobile community.
We are offering an affordable, cozy, warm, learning environment that is coupled with 90 days of interactive conversations via articles and social media as we lead up to the event. This gives our attendees the opportunity to influence and change the conversation along the way while learning from experienced mobile thought leaders in the retail vertical.
By the time we get to October 5th, our audience will be ready for a more complex conversation and will be able contribute at the next level. Add a dash of collaboration and sessions filled with enlightening education, and we have a great opportunity to enrich the mobile ecosystem.
Our team had so much fun building the last event, and we are looking forward to unveiling our new plans with you in the weeks to come. In the mean time, if you want to contribute ideas, share an article, recommend a blogger, or get on our event update list, drop us a line.
Attendees will walk away with a greater understanding of where we are headed with retail and mobile commerce in 2012. We are agnostic in our collaboration, so your opinions are welcome. We encourage action and appreciate those out in front showing the rest of us its value. We promise to keep education the core focus of our collaboration. The new relationships that are created with other thought leaders who are leading the charge, makes the trip to Chicago to attend Bricks + Mobile well worth it!
