Remodista founder and CEO Kelly Stickel set the tone for the workshop by laying out a foundational message: no one is going to be inspired all of the time – and that’s ok! Persistence is what matters: the ability to keep moving forward even when you’re not “feeling it.” She stressed the importance of continuing to push forward in your career, even when parts of you want to hold back. Kelly continued by talking about the fear we all experience when standing up for ourselves and our success – and how breaking free from that fear will change your interactions. Her message was empowering: ask for what you want. Even if you don’t get everything you asked for, the act of asking will afford you more options than never asking at all. The conversations that came out of Born to Disrupt helped to bolster the confidence of everyone involved. The attendees walked away with a new determination to invest in themselves and let their value show to the world. The workshop was a breath of fresh air for the attendees: a place to gather, express ideas, and grow in a supportive environment. Confidence is key to career success, and we are proud of all the attendees who came. We’ve been getting great attendee feedback on this workshop.
